About Web Sandwich
BACKGROUND
I am a freelance web and graphic designer, currently residing and working in London. Apart from helping people succeed in life by providing them with successful web sites (actually, I do a bit more – please have a look), I am very keen on education. I worked in the Edinburgh's Telford College, supporting students of various ages and backgrounds studying at a variety of design courses; be it graphic design, web development, IT or multimedia and teaching evening classes.
What I use to build web sites:
- Adobe Dreamweaver
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illmetrator
- Adobe Flash
- Adobe Premiere
- Kompozer
- Blender
- GIMP
- Inkscape
- Drupal
Additionally, as I am a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Certified Developer, the web sites are made using CSS 2.1 / CSS 3.0, valid and semantically correct XHTM Transitional / Strict, JavaScript or PHP. They also adhere to accesibility requirements and high usability level is ensured. Finally, correct Search Engine Optimisation techniques are applied to place the web site high in search results.
EDUCATION
I have successfully completed two years at Edinburgh's Telford College, graduating with HND Interactive Multimedia Creation. Afterwards I swiftly moved to third year at Napier University, doing a customised course within the School of Computing, which I graduated from with a BSc Computing (Multimedia)
From my times in a country far, far away (Poland, actually) I brought a Licentiate in English Studies – which is Just like a BA but with a fancier word.
When not designing web sites or leading a course, I spend most of my time doing medieval re-enactment, cycling in Scottish forests or getting involved in some cultural projects, such as Polish Cultural Festival or Open Source Creative Community.
